Meet The Face Behind Scalability
I’m Rustin Smith, the proud owner of Scalability.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I have spent over twenty years in the accounting world, working in audit, offshore accounting, fund accounting, and more. Before breaking off on my own, I spent a decade at prestigious firms like KPMG and Goldman Sachs and then expanded my skill set by working with several tech startups.
Looking to start something new and become a leader in back-office accounting, I decided to purchase and run my own company. Today, my cloud-based bookkeeping firm has doubled in size with over fifty clients and a growing and diverse team. Scalability prides itself on diversity and flexibility while maintaining professional-level standardization and control.
As an independent business owner, I enjoy working with clients to solve their needs and tighten their controls. My goal is to eliminate waste, save time, and in doing so, save them money. I enjoy growing my business and networking with other small businesses to explore how we can work together. I credit my hard-working team as the reason for the success of the company and our clients.
When not working, I am a sports enthusiast, enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a father of three who dedicates countless hours as a hockey coach for my son’s team. With any free time left, I am committed to fitting in as many rounds of golf as I possibly can.
Apart from spending time with my loved ones, I also take the time to assess my consumption patterns to reduce wastage of the planet’s resources. I am very concerned about the state of our environment. This concern is driving me to be more passionate about my own consumption and waste management.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
